Processing Times

Current processing time for Tennessee is 3 business days. Processing begins once you have submitted all required documents through GoCertificates.com.

  • Shipping time is separate from processing time. Add both together for your total expected delivery window.
  • Processing time is determined by Tennessee Vital Records, not GoCertificates. Times may vary based on current volume.

Identification Requirements

All applicants must submit a copy of an accepted form of identification and a copy of proof of relationship (if required). After placing your order, you will need to upload an image of your identification and proof of relationship (if required). Your order will only be processed once a legible copy of identification and proof of relationship (if required) are received along with payment.

All applicants must provide a valid photo identification as required.

Valid and Current Photo Identification:

Submit a copy of 1 of the following:

  • Current drivers license, including the issue and expiration date
  • Current passport
  • Military I.D. card
  • Alien, temporary or permanent resident card
  • Employment authorization card
  • U.S. Certificate of Naturalization
  • Certificate of Citizenship or Citizenship I.D. card

If you cannot provide any from the list:D

You must submit at least 2 forms of secondary IDs from the following list:

  • Current pay stub or W2
  • Vehicle registration with name and current address
  • Voter Registration card
  • Military Discharge (DD214)
  • Utility Bill, Bank Statement or deposit slip with name and current address
  • Health care coverage card
  • Medical record
  • Application page of an insurance policy
  • Signed Social Security Card
  • For those person who have had their I.D. stolen, a copy a police report or other official documents which support the theft
