Processing Times

Current processing time for Indiana is 6-8 weeks (birth) and 60 days (death). Processing begins once you have submitted all required documents through GoCertificates.com.

  • Shipping time is separate from processing time. Add both together for your total expected delivery window.
  • Processing time is determined by the Indiana State Department of Health, not GoCertificates. Times may vary based on current volume.

Identification Requirements

All applicants must submit a copy of an accepted form of identification and a copy of proof of relationship (if required). After placing your order, you will need to upload an image of your identification and proof of relationship (if required). Your order will only be processed once a legible copy of identification and proof of relationship (if required) are received along with payment.

All applicants must provide a valid photo identification as required.

Valid and Current Photo Identification:

Submit a copy of 1 of the following:

  • Government issued Driver's License/ State ID (Front and Back Required)
  • U.S. Military ID (Front and Back Required)
  • U.S. or Foreign Passport
  • Veterans ID
  • Mexico Consular ID (Green)

If you cannot provide any from the above list

You must submit at least 2 valid and current secondary IDs from the following list:

  • Department of Corrections ID Card or Printout that includes picture
  • College School ID w/ proof of current enrollment (transcript, letter from administration)
  • Work ID badge w/ proof of current employment (computerized paycheck stub, letter from employer)
  • Voter Registration card with name and current address
  • Current Vehicle Registration with name and current address (not Title of Ownership)
  • Previous year’s tax return (1040) with signature and social security number
  • Military Discharge (DD-214)
  • Home Lease/Rental Agreement, Warranty Deed with name, current address and signature(s)
  • Public assistance card
